Arkansas’s newest interstate
On November 7, 2024, about 123 miles of the US-67 freeway from North Little Rock to Walnut Ridge were officially redesignated Interstate 57. The long-term plan is to connect it to the existing I-57 in Missouri, giving trucks a straight interstate route from Little Rock to St. Louis and Chicago.
I-57 starts at I-40 Exit 155 in North Little Rock and runs co-signed with US-67 and US-167. Exits restart at 1 at McCain Boulevard in Sherwood. It passes the east end of I-440 (Exit 6), Jacksonville and Little Rock Air Force Base (Exits 8–11), Cabot (Exits 16–21), Beebe (Exits 28–31), and Searcy (Exits 42–46) before reaching Bald Knob (Exit 55). The Arkansas Highway Police operate a weigh station on this stretch near Jacksonville.

- The scales near Jacksonville. Brake adjustment, air leaks, lights, and tires are the usual out-of-service findings.
- Cabot to Searcy. Faster, more open interstate where blowouts and overheating show up on summer afternoons.

I-57 breakdowns: FAQ
Is I-57 the same road as 67/167?
Yes. The freeway became I-57 in November 2024 and is still co-signed as US-67 and US-167. Either name works when you call — the exit number is what matters.
Did the exit numbers change?
I-57 exits are numbered from 1 at McCain Boulevard, north of I-40. Read the number off the nearest sign and give that to dispatch.
How far up I-57 do you go?
Our core area runs from North Little Rock through Cabot to Searcy. For Bald Knob and beyond, call and dispatch will confirm.
Where are the truck stops on I-57?
The main one is the Love’s at Exit 44 in Searcy. There’s also a truck stop in the Cabot area, and the Galloway truck stops are just off I-40 near the south end of I-57.
