Two cities on Arkansas’s newest interstate
For decades the freeway from North Little Rock to Searcy was simply “67/167.” In November 2024 it became I-57, and Jacksonville and Cabot are the first two big stops on it. I-440 ends at I-57 Exit 6 in Jacksonville, Little Rock Air Force Base sits off Exit 11, and Cabot’s exits run from AR 5 (Exit 16) to AR 38 (Exit 21).
The corridor carries commuters, freight headed to northeast Arkansas and Missouri, and a lot of local work trucks serving two growing cities. The Arkansas Highway Police also run a weigh station on this stretch near Jacksonville, so inspection-related repairs come up here too.

Yes. The freeway was redesignated I-57 in November 2024. Plenty of people still call it “67/167,” and either name works when you call dispatch — just give the exit number you see.
